Riems - the former home of the French Grand
Prix, sadly now derelict and due for demolition.
Known as
"Grizzly", my TVR Griffith 500 was purchased new in March 1999. He
is in Aston Martin Pentland Green, a dark metallic green with a gold element
rather than the usual silver, with Saddle and Ocean Green hide &
Butterscotch carpet. The cam has been replaced with a high performance upgrade
supplied by TVR Power and fitted together with solid lifters & steel
push-rods by Portfield. The standard induction
system has been replaced with an ACT carbon plenum with twin-throttle bodies,
a larger air-flow meter and a “Tornado” chip set up on the rolling-road by
Mark Adams. The brakes are TVR AP Racing 4 x pots with drilled
& grooved 315mm front discs and 300mm drilled rear discs, this work was
carried out by Peninsula Automotive. It has 17"/18" Raceline wheels,
various alloy bits from Zertec and Leven Technology and a 2 stage fan and
decent radio reception courtesy of Mod-Wise. For more information on this look
at the modifications.
