Another interest of mine is gliding - I own a share in a 1962 "Ka6 CR - Rhönsegler" 15m glider, in it's era a very competitive machine! It was manufactured in Germany by Alexander Schleicher and imported into the UK 1984. It is based at Booker near High Wycombe where I am a member of Booker Gliding Club http://www.bookergliding.co.uk 

This shows the inside of the cockpit and instrumentation including from L to R:- (middle row) Altimeter, Air-speed indicator, Variometer (rate of climb/decent), Turn & Slip; (top row) Clock (actually a WW2 Lancaster bomber pilots pocket-watch owned by the father of one of my colleagues), Compass x 2; and finally at the bottom is an electric Variometer additional to the "air" driven one above.
